"This Is Very Exasperating!"

I don't know how to type a lisp, but you can imagine how Donald Duck would say it.  To my faithful readers who expected Part 1 of my gangster series today, I can only apologize and ask for your patience.  I feel and look just like Donald.  The series is worthy of better writing than I have been able to do the last couple of days.  So I'm not going to post a half-baked version while I'm sick.  Don't give up on me!  I am planning to post Part 1 soon.  Gotta go .... I feel a sneeze coming on!

  1. Becky, you poor child, we're so sorry to hear you've contracted The Dreaded Lurgy (Team Bartilucci's catch-all phrase for miserable, pesky illnesses)! You rest up and feel better soon -- we, your loyal readers, will be here eagerly awaiting you and your gangster series when you're back to your usual hearty, jovial self!

  8. Dawn, "Aw phooey" is right!
Page, sometimes I waddle, but I very rarely quack! And, I am a silly duck...
Ivan, you know how to speak lisp! Excellent. Heal! Heal! You sound like Jean Simmons in Elmer Gantry -- well, you probably actually sound more like Lancaster, but Jean said the words!

  10. Are you feeling better? I hope so. Hopefully you stayed home, rested, ate some chicken soup and watched a few old movies. That's the best medicine!
