How about equal time for Vistavision Becks?
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could write about the differences between the two.
ReplyDeletePaul, do you want to do that? Could be fun.....
ReplyDeleteI was going to a long piece on Vistavison for The Lady Eves Vertigo month a few years ago, but life got in the way. I don't have my notes, but in a nutshell Vista was a complete system including different film, cameras, and sound and projection, where "Scope " was a lens system. Big Difference !
ReplyDeleteBoy, life gets in the way with a bang, doesn't it Paul? It is a wonderful idea, no doubt. Hope you guys are well.........
DeleteAnother late addition: 'Tammy and the Bachelor' from Phyllis Loves Classic Movies:
ReplyDeletehttp://phyllislovesclassicmovies.blogspot.com
Thanks, Rich ... it's been added!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I want to do two films I'll only be able to write about LOVE ME OR LEAVE ME, Becky. :( Too much going on. Sorry!
ReplyDeleteAurora
Once Upon a Screen
No problem, Aurora -- I'm just glad you are joining in and doing a wonderful movie like that!
DeleteHi Becky, I thought I was doing 3/13; is that okay?
ReplyDelete(that would be Ride the High Country at Stop Button)
DeleteAndrew, that's fine. I'll get it on the list for 3/13....
DeleteHi Becky,
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to this. Just checked and there's an error in the link for my blog - it should be www.movieclassics.wordpress.com, but one s is missing from classics when you click on it. Thank you!
Oops! I'll get this fixed, Judy!
DeleteThanks, Becky!
DeleteAnother addition to the party: 'The Great Locomotive Chase' from Silver Scenes:
ReplyDeletehttp://silverscenesblog.blogspot.com
Thanks Rich -- I need to do some editing with the above responses too, and I'll get that done tomorrow......
DeleteBloggers continue to sign up for this thing! It's unbelievable... Add two more to the list (no preference for dates):
Delete'Seven Brided for Seven Brothers' from My Name is Not a Typo:
https://jessycap.wordpress.com
and 'Black Widow' from a brand new blog, The Stars are Ageless:
http://stars-are-ageless.blogspot.com.au
And the beat goes on! Random Pictures is onboard with two: HOUSE OF BAMBOO and LOLA MONTES:
Deletehttp://www.randompicturesblog.net
Well, I guess we had better put on a 4th day! I will be updating the post and moving some of the newer ones to Monday the 16th! I guess your idea for Cinemascope as a subject was inspired, Rich!
DeleteAttention all contributors: We have had such a wonderful response that we need to add another day, Monday the 16th. I have updated the list to accommodate this by putting newer bloggers on for Monday, and I had to move others as well. Please check this list again for your contribution date -- if anybody prefers another date, just let me know and I will be sure you get the day you want! I will also be posting this on the CMBA Facebook page...
ReplyDeleteHiya. You got me linked up to the wrong site. The review for Bad Day at Black Rock will be posted at here:

ReplyDeleteAnd yes, thanks for hosting!
Andrew, I had put your link in as a shorter version, and it was sending me to an error page. I left a message about this at your response on Rich's blog as well. Turns out I had not used your longer link -- I fixed it and your link works fine. I'm sorry for the mix-up!
