  1. Becky, you've made Thanksgiving an even jollier holiday than usual with Marv Newland's original BAMBI VS. GODZILLA and its hilarious sequel! Personally, I'm glad to have Bambi get his revenge at last! Thanks for a hilarious holiday, and many hugs and Happy Thanksgiving food, fun, and frolic to you and yours from all of us here at Team Bartilucci HQ! That includes Siobhan, who's thrilled that her future husband Sonic the Hedgehog was in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade again this year! :-)

    1. I bet I lost 30% lung power just laughing at those things -- I saw the original years ago, but never the other 3. Happy day to you too, dear friend, and may Shugie have sweet dreams about Sonic!

    2. You can count on that, Big Sis! ;-)

    1. Thank you, Sir Shreve! I always wanted to be strange ... because ... well, when you're strange, faces come out of the rain, when you're strange...

  6. I am afraid to ask what was served at your house yesterday. Thanks for the laughs, hope your Turkey day was swell and oh, by the way, Godzilla needs a pedicure.

    1. We had luscious venison steaks....yeah, right. I've never even tasted venison, and I always wanted to. But I promise it would not be Bambi, or Bambi's mother (actually, somebody else already got her!) Turkey day was great, hope yours was too....but really, if Godzilla got a pedicure, he wouldn't be able to lift and drop his unique toenails!

  7. Well, just a clean up and some clear polish might help.....:) After all, even a monster can benefit from good grooming!

    1. OK, if you insist ... I'll do his toenails, and you can take care of cleaning his teeth...

  8. OH Becks!
Bambi vs Godzilla? I had never heard of it nor imagined anyone else would come up with such a thing but leave it to you to introduce it to us. (I would love to have had venison over the holiday. Is that wrong?) It's not like Bambi wouldn't have gotten eaten by the fire breathing monster. He would break Bambi and those spindly legs like a twig.

I hope you had a lovely holiday with your precious family. You better have eaten some fattening desserts too.
    Love,

    1. You'll like this, Page -- Back in the day, before VCRs, I used to go the library and rent movies on reels. Then I'd rent a projector, and we used to show movies outside in the back yard, using our almost-2-story stucco white garage wall for a screen. All the neighbors loved it. I saw Bambi vs. Godzilla at the library, a great big reel with just a tiny amount of film on it. I had never heard of it. I had to get it. Everybody in their lawn chairs watching laughed so loud that people from the other street came over. I think it was done by a student, and it became a cult classic. The other 3 are recent, done as tributes to the first.

  10. I wish Godzilla and Bambi didn't kill each other. Maybe they decided on a truce. That way, they could drive over to your place for Thanksgiving as friends! :) Happy late Thanksgiving.
